Terms & Conditions

By booking Hawkeye Digital Films, clients agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Bookings require a non-refundable $200 booking fee/deposit to reserve the date/s of your choice for the price quoted.  Quoted prices are not changed once the deposit is received. If booking is cancelled after 6 months prior to wedding date the invoice balance is payable in full to offset lose of income to Hawkeye Digital Films. The booking fee is included in the base package price quoted. Balance of Wedding Package payment is due 30 days prior to wedding date.
  2. It is appreciated if a meal and seating can be provided for the cameraperson at the reception.
  3. Clients should allow a minimum of 60 Days for the production to be edited from the receipt of all materials required for the project including “Childhood         Memories” photographs, music and the bridal party names list ( if required for credits).
  4. Liability is limited to a maximum of the monies paid by the individual client.  This includes non-performance of Hawkeye Digital Films operators for any reason eg. illness or accident. This also includes faulty materials, equipment failure or any other loss or damage to goods or services.
  5. Hawkeye Digital Films cannot be held responsible for the impact on filming caused by environmental conditions. Only available lighting is used in the church / ceremony venue unless prior arrangements are made.  On-camera lighting can be used at the reception during speeches, the bridal waltz, cutting         of the cake etc. to maintain picture quality.
  6. Sound recording will be taken from a highly sensitive camera-mounted microphone and also, where possible during the vows, a wireless UHF lapel microphone concealed on the groom.
  7. It is the responsibility of the client to obtain the permission of the clergy or marriage celebrant to video the ceremony.
  8. It is also the responsibility of the client to notify the still photographer/s that they have commissioned Hawkeye Digital Films to film every aspect of their day including photography sessions.  Base package price remains unchanged if photographers attempt to deny the filming of any aspect of these photography sessions. It is also the responsibility of the client to obtain written permissions for the use of any copyrighted materials in the “Childhood Memories” segment, particularly in relation to still photographs.
  9. Hawkeye Digital Films reserves the right to use any audio/visual material it captures for promotional purposes.
  10. It is the responsibility of the client to check DVD-R playback compatibility with all the machine/s on which they are to be played before ordering their production on DVD. Hawkeye Digital Films is not liable for either a DVD refund or replacement should format incompatibility arise with any present or future make or model of DVD player.
  11. The client acknowledges that Hawkeye Digital Films accepts no liability for damages for illness or personal injury arising out of or in the course of filming the event.
  12. Buck and Hen’s night coverage is available subject to permission being granted by any associated venue owners or management.  
  13. While Hawkeye Digital Films make every effort to secure optimum filming positions, no responsibility is taken for recording position limitations or unforeseen obstructions or noises.
  14. Unless specific requests are received in writing prior to the wedding, editing will be solely at the discretion of Hawkeye Digital Films. Additional editing or changes requested after completion of the initial edit will be charged at $95 per hour. Clients’ files are deleted from the Hawkeye Digital Films editing suite two weeks from the time the client’s initial edit is mailed or collected and change requests must be received before this two-week period expires. A high quality DVD Master is kept at our studio to procure further copies if required  by the bride and groom.
